We are trying to solve a problem like mentioned in the subject.We’re having a gap that is cylindrical shaped and filled with material. - The system is heated from the outside.The material is about to melt whilst not changing its phase or temperature during the absorption of the latent heat. After the material‘s latent heat absorption limit is reached, the phase between the liquid and the solid parts of the material is moving inwards.Questions:
Is this kind of problem basically solvable with this software (FlexPDE 6 full version)?Do we need to explicitly define the velocity parameter of the moving phase boundary?

Please help.
